South African living legend, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, shared that her daughter’s shop was looted during the xenophobic attacks that have been rampant in Mzansi lately. She expressed her disappointment and worry as violence causes chaos across the country.
The xenophobic attacks that have been making headlines in South Africa haven’t affected only foreigners in the country.
Many local residents have also suffered as a result of the violent protests and demands that foreigners leave Mzansi.
South African idol, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, has opened up on how her daughter was affected – her shop was looted.
Taking to social media, the singer-songwriter expressed her disappointment and sadness at what is happening to her country.
“I am dumb-founded, confused, frustrated and have lost faith. People protesting broken into my daughter s shop and looted. All in the name of ‘foreigner must leave SA’. No man is an island, my fellow brothers and sisters we all need each other…What is this world coming to?”
